I just bought a gasket set here in Portland, so I can comment.  You should
get a "set", not just the head gasket (e.g. push rod tube gaskets, valve
cover gaskets), and they sell the set for $40/head.  Better was the full
kit, with all seals & gaskets for the engine (thus for both heads), which
was $85.  I opted to get a full set of new headbolts/studs (3 diff parts, 16
total pieces) - which were $77 total.

My brother is intersted in getting an 87 GL  (2.1 L) and the headgaskets
need to be replaced.  My experience is with aircooled engines.  What does
