I always thought the I4s were lighter than the WBX.

A few months ago there was a discussion about how much weight a tiico conversion ands to a van. There was a lot of speculation based on the shipping weight of the engine package, but no real information.Well.. After completing my own I4 conversion that is very nearly identical to the tiico unit , I have some definitive info. I weighed the van on the same truck scale before and after with a 1/2 tank of fuel and no cargo aboard. The scale had 20 lb. increments. The van is a 1991 carrat 4sp..

before conversion 3620 lbs. after 3680 lbs.

So a 60 lb. increase nearly insignificant.
