We have visited this topic a couple of times recently, and again, for the record, I would emphatically oppose banning vendors from the list. In case you haven't noticed, we don't exactly have unlimited choices of parts dealers out there, especially for syncro parts, and they all provide useful information to the list, not just to customers. That in my opinion is a good list member--someone who is interested in/owns vanagons, and tries to help when their knowledge allows. Have I had my problems with the list vendors? Absolutely. But I've usually been able to resolve them offline, and not drag the list into it. To me, banning them would be kind of like having an Auto Show and not allowing any manufacturers to participate. Pretty soon we'll all own Studebakers if we continue down this road. My two cents, well ok, three or four cents. bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...." Maybe the combined group will have to decide if they really want to allow vendors to be a part of the list(?). I mean we don't allow parties to spam the group with credit card and porn ads, right? Why not ban all people trying to sell stuff?
