Get real everyone. I have two metal 5 gal Jerry cans that do the same for about $25 in cost for the cans. Question is without Gary Lee's luggage rack where would you put them. I'd find a way.

That question has occurred to me as well. If I could carry an extra ten gallons of fuel, my van would have a range of over 500 miles! Ken has a nice replacement tank (22 gal) on his site, but the price... ouch!

OK, I got thinking (and everybody knows what happens after that)...

I noticed that my neighbor's syncro has a fuel tank located at the rear of the van, but my GL has the tank in the front...

Soooo, has anyone ever run dual tanks? I mean, being as how Vanagons get such wonderful gas mileage and all...
