Subject: Tires on '91 Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

...and the Michelin XC LT4 225/70 R14's I put on a month ago are an even better deal since about 3pm today. I bought these at Sears and noticed that the price had been reduced on the online site to $77.00 from $110.00. I called and they gave them to me for the sale price and have credited my account. These tires are very stable, quiet....and cool looking! I think this is an unbeatable deal. I got the size because at 60mph indicated, I'm going 66 and there is just that much less work on the wboxer. I'm turning 3800 rpm at that speed. Got just under 19 mpg on my last trip 2 weeks ago...550 miles.

An aside: my nephew has a vw powered sandrail for sale and some of you have mentioned that activity. He's in Phoenix and the rail can be seen at http://www.bobnotbob.com/forsale.htm if you have any interest. He may deliver in the SW. All contact info is on the site.
