You'll need the smallest fingers on earth to get at the bolts. I took off my top to put on a 3 window canvas, so I have some experience. It could be done, but be sure to brace the pop top as if it slides, it could rip the canvas. you might want to check my write up for what I wrote about the rear hinge: http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi- bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0005C&L=vanagon&P=R18734 Paste the URL together.
