Sounds like your coolant tank is cracked. Check around the cap and sensor. I had the same prob a couple of months ago.

My 88 weekender has been drive fine until at the gas station after i shut off the engine, it peed coolant from somewhere near the waterpump. I filled the coolant reservior with water and it runs fine back home, no overheat. Till I get on the driveway and shut off the engine, it pees coolant... How come it runs fine but when the engine shut off, it pees??? Help!
