There is an old story told by a friend of mine about himself. It seems this friend was working at his first job, at a restaurant in Massachusetts. Carl Yastrzemski came in and ordered a beer. The waitress was busy so she asked my buddy to get it. He being 18 and stupid, put ice in it and took it to Yaz. The waitress when she saw what had happened apologized profusely and really slammed my buddy. Yaz, seeing my friend cringe, said "that's okay, that's the way I like my beer." Who knows, sounds apocryphal, my friend may have transposed himself into it, but I like the story and its Friday.

I've got a lot of good belly laughs out of this beer thread. Actually I'm a non drinker, but I think if I'd take it up again I'll do the Canadian ginger ale 1/2 beer thing.

I hope others who have been taking life too seriously are laughing as much as I am tonight. Tomorrow temperatures in S. California are again going to be hot and dry and around 80 degree and up. How I hate these dry winter conditions. No salt on the road but wall paper peeling off the walls, nose bleeds from the dry temps, dry skin but balmy, absolutely beautiful evenings.
