Here is the easiest way to do this: There is a plastic frame around the duct that blows the warm air out from under your rear seat. The bottom portion of this frame is what is keeping your cover from coming off. You can cut away this portion pretty easily using a hacksaw blade. Just take the blade and insert it into the slot between the side of the air duct and the frame. Now saw down through about 1" of plastic framing. Do this on both sides of the duct and you should be able to pull the cover straight up. This will leave the part you just cut behind on the floor. I would just leave it there. Do the replacement, and then put the cover back. Even if you get down at floor level and stare you really can't see that the frame has been cut. It is the easiest way to do this. Any other way would involve removing the rear seat. You can do this but it is not worth it in my opinion. Whenever I do a rear core replacement I give the customers the choice of cutting this or not. 30 mins for rear core replacement with the cutting, 1 hour 1/2 without. They always let me cut.
