Yes, Karl. I understand. The original post in this thread was a product suggestion for a low volatility fuel "additive" designed to be carried for emergency use, i.e. you have run out of fuel unexpectedly. It quickly deteriorated into some less than useful discussion of various flammable liquids other than gasoline that could be used instead of a product specifically designed for emergency use. I hear that whiskey will also work in a pinch, but I would probably just catch a ride from the first state trooper that thought a guy sitting next to a 20 year old van on the side of the road drinking Jim Beam was too good to pass up. And there you have it. Gasoline for driving, other stuff for other stuff. I would no more haul around a gallon of Jim Beam than Coleman fuel for the specific purpose of saving myself from stupidly running out of gas.
