I always thought it would be nice to have some kind of warning system as I
did accidentally drive with the top up once. In the instrument cluster there
is a blank LED light next to the OXS light, I would think it wouldn't be too
hard to put a red led there that would come on when the top was on and the
car was started. That way you can still run the car, and there are no
annoying noises, just a little red light.
