Last November I rolled my '85 Westy. A slow, fairly easy roll over (onto the right side, the top, and down onto the left side). Without going into some obvious details, EVERYTHING HEAVIER THAN A PILLOW INSIDE MY NEW '90 WESTY WILL BE TIED DOWN WHEN TRAVELING! (You may have seen my questions about bolting down a center console.) And I damn well sure won't have any gasoline inside, and I would think long and hard before I would store gasoline in the forward luggage rack also. It would really have been great: rollover onto rock, rock punctures gas can on top, windshield pops out (mine did), and what's next? And don't say it won't happen to you. I'm 62 years old and had NEVER had a serious accident before in my life or been in one when someone else was driving. Surprise!
