Whoe! Just read Ken's response on cutting the front of the rear heater setup, and I sure must have done something wrong when I replaced the entire unit under the rear seat of my '85. I went to the parts yard, their guy and I went out to the yard, selected one from an '86 or '87 Vanagon, he pulled about three or four screws, cut the hoses, and handed it to me. I went home, opened up the seat, pulled the whole unit and reconnected the hoses and was buttoned up in about 20 minutes and never cut anything! In fact, I kept the original (for fan motor, etc in case I need it later) it's still in the basement storage unit. What am I missing?? Mine came out and went in without a hitch.

Loren A. Busch I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure that you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
