One of these days I should take a picture for advertising that shows the air duct under the Bus or Vanagon and the next picture shows a BA-6 (or DA-6) and the caption" replace this (the duct ) with this (the gas heater). The duct looks pretty useless compared to the heater which essentially is a duct "with fire in it".

Put a blower on the end of a metal tube. Place the tube in a campfire. Get at the output end of the tube and feel the heat. This is a gas heater.

Place the same tube over a candle. This my friend is a an air-cooled Bus or vanagon without a gas heater.

My opinion is to leave the heater in the car-you never know if someday you may sell the car-and the heater may help to sell it. It's a big job to remove-even bigger to install. I might add that I sell and service gas heaters.-any questions you have I'm glad to answer.

<< I then added a BA6 gas heater and everything was beautiful. Not only did I have instant heat, but it was as hot as I wanted it, and could be use while camping with the engine off.>>
