Bradley, you stated, << Funny you should mention that. The PO of my '84 put a buzzer in too. I took it out. I simply didn't want wiring in my van that was done by someone other than me or the manufacturers. >> Guess you don't want to hear that I also cut the grey wire to the driver's door switch, killing the "Your key is in the ignition, stupid" buzzer, tapped a motorcycle battery charger and a three hole cigar lighter power tap into the Westy fuse box, added a toggle switch to control the fresh water pump, and wired a pair of switches to control the exterior and interior fans for my fridge. Yes, Virginia, I grabbed my DeWaltŪ cordless drill and punched a hole right through the box. I added a temperature probe in the fridge too, that I can read up forward in the cab. It's attached to the reading lamps I installed by the rear view mirror. And before I forget, there's some of that nasty flammable PVC riding on the right side gas strut. I'm gonna get cracking on an alarm for back there really soon, just in case the worst happens. <EG> George/ATL '89 Westy, Wernher From point A to point A (dormant again) |
