Sure, it can be done. You have to remove the tailpiece from the 2 locks, then the plugs will slide out the front. You'll need a 3/64" drift to remove the roll pin from the tailpiece. You'll need to exchange the wafers from yours to the new one, making sure a tumbler spring stays in place under each wafer. I'd clean them both with carburetor cleaner before removing wafers. After all wafers are in place, lube with teflon grease, re-insert in handle, mount spring, and re-attach tailpiece with roll pin.
