Hello all, I have posted this to the Syncro list before, but this is the first time here, apologies to those who read both. I am working on putting together a complete, Do-It-Yourself Pop-Top conversion kit, using the Country Homes Campers [www.countryhomescampers.com] equipment. I bought the molds to make the shell and base, and I am now replicating the hardware and tent. This design utilizes the factory sunroof cutout, so no structural mods or welding is necessary. The top raises vertically, on 3 scissor arms, and gives about 3' headroom, and storage space, or you can put a bed in, like a Westy. Pricing is not set yet, as I finish one for my van, I will know what the final costs per unit are. I want to offer a few levels, from knock-down, shell, hardware and plans basic kits, to ready-to-install kits, to fit different budgets. I cannot, at this point, install them, but I am looking for people that I can refer customers to for installation, if needed. Install looks to be fairly simple; measure twice, cut once, and slot the base plate into the hole. A video will be included. The tent attaches between the base and the wood frame inner roof, with the shell attached to it as well. Spring loaded for near-zero effort lift. I want to get feedback, suggestions, and replies via p-mail from anyone interested, so I can guage the level of interest. I am shooting for late March-to-April availability.
