le nobody likes to fail an inspection, it gets expensive that way... The van should have no play while driving. Perhaps this failure is a good thing? I would really hate to be driving at 65plus and lose a tie rod. Anyhow, I have an 84 that handles like a mattress with a sports car on top. tim in san jose guessing the state to be PA, MA, or VA.
