It's not just for emergencies, it's a working piece of equipment that flushes, stores reasonable amounts of waste for unreasonable times without being objectionable (ya have to use the chemical, of course), easily emptied in a restroom, uses miniscule amounts of flushing water, doubles as a seat/stepstool/ottoman -- cost $65 for the Thetford (Porta-Potti brand) model 135 which is the smallest they make. Can even use it in the winter by putting in RV antifreeze to flush with. And the 135 is low enough to the ground that you can use it discreetly without even blocking the windows. Unless absolute cheapest price is the only object, I call this one a big winner. david -- David Beierl - Providence, RI http://pws.prserv.net/synergy/Vanagon/ '84 Westy "Dutiful Passage" '85 GL "Poor Relation" |
