If these are like the Syncro 16 rotor - same calliper and pads - then the gripping area is moved further out from the center of the disc - yes they certainly do stop the vehicle much better!

If the pads are the same as stock syncro pads, then how are these brakes providing any more stopping power... apart from maybe some better cooling?
