I'm pretty sure it is.  Obviously, with all of the replies I'm receiving,
the problem must lie in the cable.  I guess that is "good" news-in terms of
expenses.  I'm going to look into pulling the cable.  I'm guessing this is
done from the hub end?  This clicking sound has been prevalent for over a
year now.  So, I don't believe the cable is failing, or it would have done
so by now.  My speed is accurate (-enough).  So there must be something
rubbing on or in the cable or the speedo interface.
Thanks for the input!  I'll look into it.

Did you check the back of the speedo to see that the cable is all the way in
and securely connected?
