If your thermostat is stuck open, the engine and the coolant may not be getting up to a reasonable temperature. Does the temperature gauge go up about halfway? Another possibility is that the hot water valve near the heater may not be opening because the control is not connected properly. If your remove the spare tire and lay on the spare carrier (ouch) looking up you will see the valve and can check the movement of its lever arm.
