Joe, I think it is safe to say different hoses will fail at different times. I would not take the replace every hose approach, Instead learn which hoses get hot and stay hot. When you replace a hose use common sense to replace near by hoses while your doing the job. Start with the hose that comes from the right head to the plastic pipe called the T manifiold about a foot long. That hose and hoses attaching to that t get hot and fail first. You may even consider changing out the plastic pipe. When doing your water pump what hoses should you replace? You got it , hoses to the waterpump! Other thing to consider is replacing those things that would be hard to fix when on the road. Have a plan for fixing those hoses that are easy to fix on the road. Heater hoses can be bypassed if you carry a few clamps and spicing pipe. Straight hoses will benfit from a roll of duct tape. regards gary

Hi,

What are general life expectancy's for the hoses in a van, coolant primarily. Bentley doesn't say anything about how often those should be replaced or I just didn't read carefully. I guess it would also depend on enviroment and other factors. Are people changing hoses out at set intervals?

Joe
