Waxoyl is quite a bit different than POR-15.

It's a wax based product that has rust inhibitors in it. I've been told that bar and chain oil for chainsaws is similar.

When used as an undercoating, you will need to renew it every few years. The wax will dry out, but it can be renewed if you overcoat it with more. It prevents rust and repels water. If you already have rust, I don't think this would help much.

POR-15 is applied over rust to seal it off. Waxoyl may be a good product to top coat over POR-15.
