I'm considering returning my Optima and going with the Stinger instead which is perfect for the battery box. I will send you (or anyone else who pmails me) a private email with an attachment showing the comparison with the optima. If you insist on the optima I'm sure someone will email you Harald and Nancy's web site for their excellent retrofit.

I am considering putting an Optima Red Top (Starting) battery in my 90 Carat. The height of the batter appears to be a problem as it is 7 & 13/16 to the top of the top terminal. From my measurements the steel compartment lid is just about at that height meaning their could be contact. Anyone done this? I foresee I might hole saw out two circles in the lid where the terminals are to avoid any contact with the lid. The carpet should cover the holes okay. Any feedback on anyone who has installed an Optima and thier solutions to this height problem is appreciated. Mark Magee 90 Carat 79K Kemah TX USA John 14:6
