I know condensation will continue to be a fact of life. My thought was that perhaps some of the synthetic oil producers might, by now, have increased the additives that are responsible for the total base number of the oil and thereby combat the tendency of unneutralized acid to etch-away at the engine innards. This would seem to go hand in hand with extended mileage drain interval claims. The "C" rated diesel oils do this already, so I know it's possible to do so and still retain the needed lubricity. I also know that oil producers are in it to make money...
