Sadly the same thing happened to me at the Winnipeg Folk Fest last year, although the culprit was not beans but those tiny corn cobs in a can.

A can got knocked into the fire and abandoned, and at 5 am exploded so loud that park police came. It sent hot little black missiles zooming through the air for up to 30 feet away. 4 tents fell victim to the onslaught, including one brand new tent from Mountain Equipment Coop (Gothic Arch or some medieval thing). Punctured full of holes from those hot little sons of b*tches.

Lesson: Folk Fest is no place to show off your new tent.
