I've done a lot of research into the full Lilly and decided to NOT do any of
it. No exhaust pipe wrap due to potential rust from water absorbed by the
wrapping. No chip upgrade.

I believe that a well cared for engine is the best way to go. I am hoping my
engine will last another 100,000 miles with proper care. But when the time
comes I am going to buy a Subaru SVX and pull the engine out to go into the
vanagon. I plan to take my time, find the right wreck or running car and do
my conversion years down the road. (OR NOT.) By that time I may be too old
and lost motivation.

For now a well cared for 2.1 liter engine suits me fine. I'll just drive
more slow and smell the roses along the way. Is camping about going faster
or slowing down WITHOUT the stereo system.

What matters to me now is a good potty, good hatch struts, and helping
friends upgrade as you all have helped me. I have saved a small fortune on
this list and grateful for the freely given advice. Thank you all.

And thanks to Stan's taunting I now have plans to put a toilet paper
dispenser on my home made potty, a tampon dispenser, baby wipes pocket, and
a coin changer for toll booths, a squeegee holder and spray bottle for
windshield washing and . . . . OOps it's not Friday et. Sorry Stan. Did I
miss any recommended improvements to the potty? I forgot the XXX magazine
holder.
