I was wrong about the speed that I hear the "knocking" sound. It occurs
between 30 & 40 and very faint.
The front bearings were NOT inspected visually. The mechanic only spun the
wheels and listened. He said they sound good.
The sound now seems to be coming from the back or middle to right but still
too faint to determine the location. It only occurs when in motion.
The dead cat is still there but wrapped too tight to be a problem.
Seriously that "knocking" sound is beginning to drive me nuts.
