Quality of Maaco's paint? You'd do better buying spray cans and doing it yourself--- Figure this--- I just got done painting the cab of a Mack--- ( which by the wy has less surface area than a Van---) The gallon of PPG paint alone was $238.00 ( not including acid etch primer, and the filler primer, sand paper, tape, reducer, hardner ) So tell me--what kind of quality is Maaco giving you? Will they spray the engine compartment? Sure, along with all the rubber mouldngs, glass, headlamps, taillights, anything you want !!!:>) Pay the piper, get it done once---get it done right--- Later,
Terry
E-mail message From Jon Sykes I saw an ad on tv over the weekend - Maico are offering a auto respray and 4 hours of bodywork for $399. My 82 diesel could use a respray once the current rust and knocks have been fixed. Can anyone comment on Maico and the quality of their work? $399 seems pretty cheap? I wonder if they also spray the engine compartment? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
