<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>My temp gauge on my 87 Syncro started to read hi about 1 month ago. Actally it read nothing 1 day so I replaced the sender, then it read high (3/4 or higher). Tried 2 new senders. Still high. I know it is not over heating, and have bought a VDO water temp gauge and installed it for my nerves. </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, the sender I am reasonably certain is good (insatlled 3 different ones and all read the same). There was corrosion at the connection to the sender, so I trimmed back and replaced that. No change. The gauge operates normally. The red light blinks on startup and gauge moves smooth. Please do not tell me some vans just read hot ect! Mine did not do this before. It used to read dead in the middle over the light. Any thoughts on possible causes, and ways to test. Thanks for your help!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Randy Charrette</DIV> <DIV>87 Syncro weekender</DIV> <DIV>211K</DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <a href='http://g.msn.com/1HM305401/13'>http://explorer.msn.com</a>.<br></html> |
