Dave, To tell you the truth, I'm unemployed, and the last thing I planned to do was spend $400 on a new set of tires, when the ones it came with had LOTS of tread left on them. One day I came outside to hear the sound of escaping air coming from one of the rear tires, and it actually looked like someone had slashed (one single cut) the inner sidewall! Right where the tread meets the sidewall. That, coupled with things the PO told me about having to replace perfect-looking tires before, made me pay close attention to the postings here on the list. (I had previously deleted all tire threads) Do what you want, but know that Murphy's Law is alive and kickin'. Hope this helps, Doug '90 GL |
