Im going Sunday afternoon to look at a 87. The owner said it has had a "fast forward conversion" w/completely rebuilt 91 Golf engine. (body has aprox 130,000/4,000 on the new engine). Does this sound like something to buy or pass on? He is asking $7000 and says its in very good shape. Any advice before I open my check book would be greatly appreciated! regards, Peter Brandt
