Subject: antenna replacement/FM doesn't work
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I know that I'll probably need to buy a new radio/cassette player but I really like my VW factory installed model that is in my 90 multivan so I thought I'd run this by all of you. Maybe I'll get a radio expert. When this thread came up, I was indeed in the process of replacing my antenna. I checked out the archives and it gave me all the hints I needed to find my way to it. However, when I was finished, I still only get AM reception. I thought for sure it was the antenna. (So did my mechanic) Should I just breakdown and buy another cheap radio/cassette player or is there something that I'm missing. The cassette plays fine and the AM sounds.......like AM! I don't know if this would make a difference but the radio has a security code (which I do have) as an anti-theft mechanism.
