Not to drag out a mature thread but...


...someone wrote not to put anything in the van that you don't want in the
front seat with you, and others wrote that their porta-potti survived a
crash that the van didn't.  In that vein, I offer this advice based upon
experience:  I, too, place my porta-potti behind the passenger seat, makes a
good footrest...BUT, when the van is in motion, the potti is secured by
bungie cords.  Why, you ask?  Well, a porta-potti with a full upper chamber
and an empty lower chamber is top-heavy, and will tumble around the cabin as
you take a sharp turn.


So, unless you want to outfit the potti with reinforced sidewalls to
eliminate the lean in the turns, I suggest a restraint of some kind.
