Rather than overpriced 911 studs, I had late model Chevy truck studs pressed into the front and rear hubs for my '74 kombi. They have the same 14mm thread as the Vanagon studs, just longer. I'd also heard of Dodge Dakota studs being used, but they are 13mm and I don't like the idea of downgrading anything. The Dakota is a six-lug, so the skinnier stud isn't so much of an issue. Geez, first Chevy studs on the '74, now a Blazer Tire carrier on the Vanagon. That free '85 Celebrity I've been driving must be getting to me! -chris
