Subject: will a 2.1L long block wrk with 1.9L FI and hardware?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I was wondering if the 2.1L long block can be used as a replacement longblock for the 1.9L. I'm considering a rebuilt motor and was wondering if the 2.1L will "plug in " to the 1.9L hardware. I'm sure the water pump is different, but other than that what do I have to look out for when converting. Maybe even to a stroked counterweighted 2.1L..........who knows?

Malibu Tony 85' Westy 1.9L 5 degrees BTDC....just found some white foam in oil today ( looks like the typical water in the oil)....cyl #3 down to 60 lbs 78' 911SC Targa
