Congrats.

When I got my '85 GL it was pretty filthy.  The best stuff to clean
upholstery and carpet that worked for me is a product that comes in a
spray can called Tuff Stuff made by First Brands.  I've bought it in
auto parts stores, discounts stores both in Atlanta and where I live now
in Iowa City, IA.  Using this together with a steam cleaner that I
borrowed (not filling the cleaner with detergent, just spraying the Tuff
Stuff on, scrubbing, then using the steam cleaner to rinse) worked
incredibly well.  The water coming into the cleaner was filthy, and I
just kept cleaning until it was somewhat less filthy.  It never ran
entirely clear, but clean enough.
