Subject: Rust on center driver side panel
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hello,

I'm a new owner of a used 88 Westfalia Vanagon. After looking the vehicle over, there is some rust near the city-water input. It appears to have rusted all the way through near the bottom and into the corner of this area on the body panel. The two bottom screws for the city-water cover plate are screwed through the rust. (they still hold it on though)

Can anyone suggest a repair method for this? I would like be able to save the panel. Of course if I have to buy a new panel for it, then I guess I will.

Thanks, Chris
