There are several 914 2.0 dyno sheets available at what used to be 914.com ( sorry it's been awhile) that document 140 to 165hp. That being said some of these engines were full race engines and wouldn't be very streetable. There is a guy in Ill. who will build you a 2.0 914 engine with a guaranteed 140 hp. I've watched this thread and tried to see both sides of the story. I agree that the original post was kind of vague. It still is sad to me that we as a people jump to conclusions without all of the facts and make snap decisions about something that could come back to bite us. Lets face it with enough money 150 hp out of a 2.0 is feasible, how long will it live, at what rpm is this achieved??Oh well.
