Well look at the VW Phaeton, it's predicted to be competing in the upper
end of the Jaguar market...  Could they not have just marketed it as the
Audi Phaeton, and kept the VW line VWish? And market their sports cars
under Porsche? The lineages used to be understandable, but in the name of
progress it looks good to move upscale...  Marketting the Concept 1 under
the name New Beetle is depressing to those who know what a beetle is, but
look at the bastard sell. They're certainly not going to go out of business
just because they've forsaken the roots they grew from.  (Rant mode off)
