For those interested today I finished my emergency potty prototype after considering the ideas given by others. If interested see the top photo on my temporary web page at: http://members.cox.net/holisticdream/temporary.htm

The most useful idea was a plastic pail with a tight fitting lid that would hold personal business and odors in a plastic bag inside and baby diapers and such until disposal at the next service station or trash can. Plenty of room around the plastic bucket for plastic bags. (No dumping in the woods please. Let's keep our parks and campgrounds clean.)

My plan is to secure it with a bungee cord or other method in the jump seat spot and leave the jump seat home when going camping. I may add a permanent padded top seat at some point but for now just use a pillow for a comfortable seat up front or at the jump seat location.

I suppose I could add some small wheels to keep "you know who" still Laughing or to roll a heavy load around more easily. I might even make my next prototype look like a small vanagon. Now that would be a kick. I wish I and thought of it earlier. That would have been fun. It could even make a saleable product. Think about it. A commercial potty narrow enough to fit bewteent he two front seats, and shaped like a vanagon with a padded pop top seat. Wow.
