I have stock VW pads with stock rotors, calipers, etc. on both my '91 Vanagon Carat and 90 Vanagon GL. I also have alloy wheels on both vans. One has 14" alloy and the other 15" alloy (VW). Both of these vans alloy wheels get really dirty in the front very quickly (within a week or two of cleaning). My point is that the SA big brake kit (in my opinion) doesn't make any more brake dust than the stock brakes. The only cure for this is to either go to a metalic pad (which eats up your rotors quicker) or get a really good quality wheel cleaner which should make the brake dust not stick after one cleaning. I have this really nice cleaner that got my wheels back to clean condition. Then, several months later, I cleaned the rims again, but this time instead of taking an hour of scrubbing, it only took 5 mins and no real effort. Just FYI.
