I would like to see that person get that ring compressor out of there with 1 and 3 installed and having his compressor around 2 or 4. I think if you tried it then, you would find it easier to pull the motor. You would definately have to have the patience of a saint , skinny long fingers, with magnets surgically attached. After all, how would a person check end play, clutch, etc without pulling the motor? I assure you that the decision to re-ring was not based on micrometer readings, Just on "she's burning oil" must need new rings! Not necessarily so.
