Howdy all-- I am heading up Sam Walters in Baltimore in about a week to snatch that BA6 and a decent fuel tank out of his decrepit 1982 Vanagon before it heads off to the crusher. (My tank is slightly dented from a overseas transport forklift). I can see that pulling the fuel tank is a breeze, 30 minutes on a bad day. I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of how long it takes to pull the BA6, whole and complete with all the jeebers. Any tricks I should know about before diving in? We may have the option of rolling the van on its side since it is completely stripped else wise, would it be worth it to not have to lay under? Riverboat Gambler, and squaredancer since 1996, G. I actually have one of each but the Deisel one is still in the 82 Deisel Vanagon, and I don't know if I have enough patience to pull it out this season? Thanks Joe Omaha |
