Hi John

At first I would have said that your Throw-Out bearing is getting on in life. But from your description I would tend to believe that there is one of the main shaft bearing in the transmission that is potentially worn.

Have you changed the oil in the tranny lately? Did you switch oil brands or grades?

Is there oil in the tranny? (Sorry for that rude insult, I had to throw that one in.)

Maybe some transmission list expert can recommend a good oil for you.

My 2cents,

Joel 89 Syncro Westy Rochester NY.
