I just bought a pair, in size 27-8.5-14 Load Range C from Firestone.  They fit my '86 camper fine, and are VERY quiet, despite their somewhat aggresive appearance.  The feedback and user surveys on the Tire Rack site for this tire are pretty good.  This size tire is not available at the Tire Rack, though.  Bear in mind that the 225-70 tire you mentioned has the same approximate dimensions, but not the C load range, dual sidewall plies, 1515lbs weight limit, or 50 psi inflation as what I have.
