Subject: Put rebuilt 1.9l in, now my injectors won't spew, or squirt,
              or any of that
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hi list members,

Wondering if one could help me with this: I just got done installing my rebuilt engine and couldn't help but notice it won't start. I'm getting spark, and my fuel pump and relay both work fine. The one problem is: No fuel coming out of the injectors. Most certainly a wiring problem. I used new screws and cleaned all the little loops that connect the wires to ground on the left (driver) cyl head, but it still won't spray any fuel, any of them. I removed them and had them hanging into a tray, fire extinguisher handy, I know. No spray at all. Except when I removed the bolts (the old ones, I used the old ones first to connect the grounds) to the cyl head ground terminal, one of the injectors briefly did spray. Internal damage in the ground wires??? I wiggle them now and still no spray. Is there a way to check the ECU? What would my voltage reading be between the two leads that connect to each injector? The van ran fine a week ago (except that the heads were blowing internally past the gasket). Should I just go ahead and rewire the grounds??

There's always something... Matthias Kuster, L.A. CA-- 1984 WBX 1.9 Wolfy Manual
