Also, as a means of simulating the action of the distributor I pulled the
distributor with the wire to the ignition module attached, key on, and the
wire from coil tower grounded. I would assume this would send to the ECU a
signal to fire the injectors, all other factors being equal.  There was no
change.  Just a constant spray of fuel.
