I consider this pretty funny. I have had several customers that have come through here that moved to NJ from California. They are usually here for about six months to a year and then head back. They just need to be in Cali.

Having grown up and lived in Southern New Jersey for the majority of my life (I lived in Tennessee for about six years) I can tell you for certain that there are many places in Southern New Jersey that would surprise most folks. When you think of NJ you either think of North Jersey (just an extension of NYC as far as we are concerned) or the Jersey shore (too commercial to be a good example of what NJ is really like). Come over to Millville some time. We'll have some coffee and you can camp out in the Pine Barrens or go swimming in the lake right across the street from my office. Anyone who has come here will tell you that New Jersey can be very beautiful place.

When I went out to California a few years ago, having heard so much about how great it was, etc. through movies, and TV I felt a little let down. It seemed like everyone's lawn needed a good mowing and what was the deal with all of the Air Conditioners being up on people's roofs? I realized that I was experiencing probably the same thing that the California people experience when they come to NJ, culture shock. We went on further into Cali and saw the beautiful sights of the giant redwood forests and San Francisco at night. It was a wonderful place.

My point is: give NJ as chance. We have the highest population density, and the highest auto insurance rate. There must be some reason why we live here :-)
